Advice

Sometimes you can save the cost of a visit to your property by addressing minor issues yourself. Please find below a selection how to guides.

Bleeding your radiators.

Over time, air can make its way into your central heating system and will tend to bubble up to the top of your radiators leaving the top of the radiator cold

Radiators have a valve to allow air to be bled from the system.

Please see the video below to give guidence on this process.

Have you lost pressure in your system?

If youre boiler has lost pressure it may be evident in the form of a fault code on the boiler or you may just notice that the pressure on the gauge is low.

The first course of action is to look for is any sign of a leak. Check all radiators, around valves, visible pipework and joints. If you do find evidence of a leak this can then be relayed me before my visit.

During your annual service all pressures will be checked and topped up if necessary. The need for regular pressure adjustment is a definite sign of a problem requiring a  visit so shouldnt be done on a regular basis but see below for a how to videos.
